We also work closely with governments at all levels. The Under2 Coalition, for which we're the Secretariat, is made up of 167 state and regional governments and has been named one of the international co-operative initiatives with the highest potential for emissions reductions. Climate Group operates various global campaigns such as RE100, EP100, EV100, SteelZero, ConcreteZero, and Food driving actions for emission reductions.
Devrai Foundation

Devrai Foundation is dedicated to promoting the creation of man-made Devrais (sacred groves) as a sustainable solution to increase green cover and restore ecological balance. The Foundation provides detailed Devrai plans, free saplings, and continuous guidance to individuals and communities interested in developing their own sacred groves. To date, it has successfully established 36 man-made Devrais across and beyond Maharashtra, progressing steadily toward its vision of creating 75 Devrais in celebration of India’s 75th Independence Day, a mission that has received widespread appreciation and support.

ECONET is established in 1993, dedicated to promoting environmental justice and sustainable livelihoods among tribal and Denotified (DNT) communities. While its primary focus lies in Maharashtra, the organisation’s work and collaborations extend beyond the state’s boundaries.
Founded in response to the growing need for a collaborative platform within the environmental sector, ECONET brings together diverse stakeholders — including community-based organisations (CBOs), experts, researchers, and policymakers — to develop inclusive and sustainable solutions for ecology and livelihood challenges. Over the years, ECONET has established itself as a pioneer in the development sector, creating a credible space for dialogue and action on issues of environmental governance, forest rights, and community well-being. Its initiatives have addressed a broad spectrum of themes, including water conservation, large dam impacts, protection of sacred groves (devrais), biodiversity conservation, forest protection, and promotion of forest-based livelihoods through non-timber forest products (NTFPs) and wild food resources.
Through its sustained efforts, ECONET continues to advocate for the rights, cultural identity, and ecological resilience of communities whose lives are intertwined with forests and natural ecosystems.

EcoSattva is a social enterprise that delivers environmental solutions in the sectors of solid waste management, green cover management and waterbody restoration. It is anchored in CSN district in Maharashtra state. It has developed the BOTRAM process and app that blends on ground-implementation, research and documentation and municipal systems transformation to establish robust processes that are transferable and replicable. EcoSattva’s work is well integrated with state, national and global environmental schemes and goals such as GoI’s SBM, GoM’s MVA and UN SDGs.

Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA) is a non-profit working with the marginalised to empower them and help them access their rights. YUVA’s on-ground interventions are complemented with advocacy efforts and policy recommendations. Founded in Mumbai in 1984 currently, YUVA is present at locations across Maharashtra, Assam and Jharkhand. YUVA partners with marginalised populations in cities who often live in climate-sensitive regions and are exposed to the brunt of climate change at their places of residence and work. We attempt to understand the effects of climate change through the perspective of the urban poor. Through their experience, we carve out local adaptations, strengthen their ability to respond and devise inclusive policy guidelines.
